Kumo (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices. By using Kumo (the “App”), you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

    A. Account & Authentication Data
    User ID (Firebase UID)

Email address (if you sign in with email)

Auth tokens (handled by Firebase Authentication)

B. User-Provided Content
When you share or upload to Kumo, we store:

Text snippets

Images (photos, screenshots)

Documents, audio, video files

All content is end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload.

C. Usage & Analytics
Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)

App usage events (via Firebase Analytics)

Performance data (anonymous, for improving stability)

D. Billing & Purchases
Purchase transactions (product IDs, timestamps) via Google Play Billing

Subscription status via Google Play (no raw payment details)

E. Advertising
AdMob identifiers (for serving and targeting ads)

Ad performance data (impressions, clicks)

  1. How We Use Your Information
    Provide & improve the App: Sync your clipboard items, display your files, manage timers.

Security: Authenticate you, detect abuse, and protect your account.

Crash & performance monitoring: Diagnose and fix stability issues.

Analytics: Understand feature usage and improve product roadmap.

Billing: Process purchases, manage subscriptions, and grant in-app entitlements.

Advertising: Serve relevant ads and measure performance.

  1. How We Share Your Information
    We do not sell your personal data. We only share with:

Firebase/Google: They host our backend (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Crashlytics, Analytics, AdMob).

Cloud Functions: Our scheduled cleanup tasks run on Google Cloud Functions.

Payment partners: Google Play Billing for handling transactions (we do not see your card details).

Legal requirements: To comply with law or protect rights.

Any third party we use must comply with privacy and security standards.

  1. Data Retention and Deletion
    Encrypted user files remain stored until they expire (per your settings) and are then deleted by our scheduled jobs.

Metadata (e.g., file names, timestamps) is deleted along with content.

Analytics & crash logs are retained per Google’s retention policies.

You can request account deletion at any time (see “Contact Us” below), which will permanently remove your data.

  1. Your Choices
    Opt-out of analytics: You can disable usage reporting in the App’s settings.

Manage notifications: Turn on/off notification permissions in Android settings.

Delete your account: Email us (see below) and we will remove all your data.

Ad personalization: Adjust via Google Ad Settings on your device.

  1. Security
    All user files are encrypted on-device with AES before upload.

Data in transit is protected using TLS.

We follow industry best practices to protect your information.

  1. Children’s Privacy
    Kumo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
  2. Changes to This Policy
    We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated date at the top. Your continued use of Kumo after changes indicates your acceptance.
